Fun Facts
When I'm not researching in lab, attending class, or philadelphia">tutoring, I spend most of my free time either playing or watching sports. I enjoy baseball, basketball, and football, but baseball, above all others, is my game. I also enjoy watching movies, reading fiction and nonfiction books (mostly nonfiction), hanging out with friends, and fishing. I also drive 1,000 miles down to Florida once a year to visit my relatives.
About Me
I am a graduate of The College of New Jersey holding a Bachelors of Science degree and am currently enrolled in a Masters of Science program at Saint Joseph's University. Upon completion and fulfillment of the MS program, I plan on pursing a Doctorate in Biostatistics while continuing research on animal behavior. Further down the road, I will be absolutely content if I am able to own a boat (along with a house of course) and a lemon tree.
I am currently a teaching assistant in an upper level biology laboratory where I am responsible in proctoring exams, grading practicals, answering miscellaneous questions, and guiding various animal dissections. I have previously assisted several promising young students primarily in mathematics, biology, and chemistry. One of the best feelings in the world is conveying an idea and observing a student's conceptual understanding which is then applied with success.
My philadelphia">tutoring approach consists of a firm grasp and understanding of framework, and basic concepts. Without such a background progress is usually slow. Once an understanding of concepts is achieved, repetition is used to build confidence and to elicit an excitement towards learning and accomplishment.
