About Me
I am a sophomore Religion and Philosophy double major at Texas Christian University. I'm a member of the John V. Roach Honors college! Upon graduating, I hope to attend graduate school and continue my education and earn a PhD. Ultimately, I would love to be a professor of Religion.
Throughout my high school years, I tutored elementary aged children in downtown Nashville once a week. Upon entering college, I was eager to start working with students again. This time, I turned my attention to my fellow TCU students. I also have experience working with middle school and high school students through church internships!I am excited about working with more students through Frog Tutoring!
Throughout much of middle school I struggled with only attempting to master material for the tests. Because of this, I wasn't able to retain the information I was learning past the exams. I believe that by wrestling through the information that is hard to grasp or challenging, the student will not only perform better on the exams, but will also improve in their critical thinking skills. Rather than giving the answers to avoid challenges, I feel it is my responsibility and more beneficial to the student to guide them to the answer. I also believe that improving organization and study skills can vastly improve a student's academic progress.
