Fun Facts
I love children and teaching is my passion. I have lived in New Zealand and Australia for 19 years and in Mexico where I grow up. I love academic learning and I am constantly taking courses and updating my current knowledge. My first degree is in Hotel and Tourism management from where I believe come my organization, administration and planning skills.
I love animals and I have an adopted “Hector Dolphin” that lives somewhere in Australian’s waters.
Love to travel with my 18 years old son.
About Me
I work for Miami Dade County Public Schools as an Elementary Teacher since 2005. Certified to teach in Florida:
1- KG to 5th grade 2- English as Second Language (ESOL) KG to 12th grade 3- Spanish KG - Collage grades. 4- Certified in CPR.
In addition, all Teachers working for Miami Dade County schools have to be check for misdemeanors and fingerprints with FBI and all records should be clear.
My degree is in Science of Education (Pedagogy) with a Master on Spanish Language.
Experience
I started working one on one private Tutoring from high school and I have been teaching different subject since then.
Working for MDCPS from 2005 as full time school Teacher.
Specialized in English as Second Language (ESOL) and I have been working with ESOL students for more than 25 years.
I am also experience in teaching adults for tourism and survival skills in then target language.

I recognize and listen to my student’s needs and ways of learning. Every student can learn regarding age, background or language level, if he is approach in the correct way for his particular learning style (visual, musical/auditory, physical Kinesthetic, verbal, logical/mathematical, social, solitary or combination) Learning should be interesting and fun, so the student gets enthusiastic in continuing the process of learning in their lifetime.

ESL/ESOL Tutoring
More than 25 years preparing ESOL students for test, gives me the experience to teach them the tools to succeed. This is my full time job that also is my passion.

I have been teaching Spanish for the last 11 years in Miami Dade County. My passion are languages and teaching, therefor this is my favorite master subject.

I teach this subject everyday accordingly to the Florida Standards. I master the curriculum and teach it in a easy way to my students, obtaining great results based on my experience.

Teaching students a great organization skills, have benefit my students to create a long last study skills that will help them through their school life. A big part of my qualification is focus in how to provied students with resources this matter.

With a Master degree in Spanish Language, I specialized in the academic and proper way to speak, write and communicate in this language.

Pronunciation and fluency are vital for the foreign language to be mastered, that's why ensuring the use of the proper academic language was my objective through my Master degree in the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, in Spain.
