Fun Facts

One of my passions is learning foreign languages! I'm proficient in French, Spanish, and German, and I've also studied some Latin and ancient Greek. I enjoy translating greatly, and I have 2 published translations from French!

About Me

I recently graduated from Reed College with my BA in philosophy. In the Fall, I'll be starting a PhD program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, which has the 4th best philosophy program in the country! (I declined offers from Harvard, Yale, and Cornell!) My ultimate goal is to become a professor of philosophy.

Experience

I have tutored students from a variety of backgrounds, including middle school students, high school students, college students, and adults (who were learning English as a second language!). I have experience tutoring in English (verbal & written), French, philosophy, and many other subjects. This summer, I'll be a TA for philosophy classes at the Center for Talented Youth. I look forward to working with students through Frog Tutoring and impacting students' lives even more!

Approach

I make sure to be enthusiastic and help the student become excited about the subject he or she is learning about! This motivates the student to do well. I also teach students study tips and transferable skills to help them thrive in all of their classes!
