About Me

I am a recent graduate of the University of Miami. I have been working with children since 2010, starting at the university preschool. I worked as a teacher's aide in the 4-year-old classroom as well as the 2-year-old classroom. Apart from working at a preschool, I also have experience working with children in their homes as a tutor/babysitter. I worked with students ranging from 2nd grade through high school. I served as an Americorps member with City Year Miami for one year.

Experience

I have experience tutoring as a City Year volunteer as well as an after school associate at Branches Inc. I also tutored as part of a program called Educational Tutorial Services. Currently, I am a 5th grade teacher in my fifth year teaching!

Approach

I believe in being extremely patient with students. I've learned through various experiences that students learn best with methods that are tailored to fit their needs, with examples that are relevant to them.
