Fun Facts
One thing that people should know about me is how passionate I am about learning! You will often find me watching Ted Talks or documentaries on my laptop because I find the world so curious and extraordinary. I was born in a military family and have lived in eight different countries/cities since then. I also enjoy going to the gym and watching sports. If I could be granted one wish it would be the talent to sing and show my face on TV like X-Factor or The Voice.
About Me
I am an Education major at the University of Texas at Austin. I have spent hundreds of hours working with young children and helping each of them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I hope to use all the knowledge and experience I have gathered in these past years to have a classroom of my own. After a couple years I plan to earn my Masters in Education to become a school administrator.
Experience
As mentioned before I have worked meticulously and tediously with young children in their development. I have extensive experience developing lesson plans and modifying them according to each student. I have worked with children for volunteer hours and at two local Elementary schools in real classroom settings with cooperating teachers. Working for Frog austin">Tutoring enables me to sharpen my skills and to impact student lives!
Approach
As a teaching intern in classrooms, I have worked with children of various socioeconomic statuses and abilities. I plan to use my experiences to fundamentally enrich individual student learning using my strengths. I possess a positive attitude and passion to teach like my hair is on fire. More importantly, I have a desire to build self-esteem in students. I want children to feel confident in their own abilities, take up an active role in their learning, and be successful in their chosen path!

English Tutoring
I have taken three intensive courses on reading assessment and development and language arts which tie into teaching English. As a student intern at two local elementary schools I have experience with writing and reading labs in which I tutor students in small groups in stations.Also I am currently about to be in my last semester to becoming a teacher certified in teaching this subject!
Elementary Math Tutoring
Throughout my coursework I have experience in three math courses that are mandated for my major in teaching for young children. At the local elementary schools I have conducted math lessons and tutored students in small groups in stations. Math is particularly my favorite subject and if I had a choice to split subject teaching with other teachers, I would go for math! Also I am currently about to be in my last semester to becoming a teacher certified in teaching this subject!
Science Tutoring
I have taken two intensive science teaching courses for young children. The first one being physics such as forces, motion, pressure and the second being generalized for K-6 science subjects. As a student intern at two local elementary schools I have experience teaching rich science lessons and have tutored students in small group science labs. Also I am currently about to be in my last semester to becoming a teacher certified in teaching this subject!

I have taken several social studies course for teaching young children during my teaching program.
