Fun Facts

I love music! In my spare time, I enjoy busting embarrassing moves in my apartment or creating harmonies to my favorite songs.

About Me

I am beginning my PhD at Harvard in the Fall in Comparative Literature and would love an opportunity to keep up my teaching and tutoring skills before/while starting my coursework. I have taught and tutored in English grammar and writing at the undergraduate level at Emory University (but also have comparable experience working with ages 14-18). I have also worked extensively as a tutor in English as a second Language at high school, undergraduate and graduate levels.

Experience

During my undergraduate and masters degrees, I taught and tutored at Emory University and have 5+ years experience teaching English grammar, writing, and reading comprehension.

Approach

I truly believe that passion is the key to learning. As a life-long learner myself, I know how lifeless classes are when we don't access the reasons why we care about a given subject. I am able to work with students either in groups or one-on-one to make meaning in the process of learning; in this way, students not only improve their reading comprehension or writing skills, but also develop an actual appetite for the experience of learning itself.
