Fun Facts
One of my favorite things to do has always been reading, and anyone that knows me knows that I will read anything I can get my hands on! I especially love fiction, and for two years of my undergraduate education, I taught a college course on young adult literature and adolescent psychology and development. I was captain of a dance team, and I love to sing. One day I would love to be a published author!
About Me
I just graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Biopsychology. Next semester, I will be matriculating at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where I will begin my education as a dental professional. In four years, I will graduate with a DMD, and maybe go on to study even further!
Experience
I have always enjoyed boston">tutoring unofficially, whether I was teaching my baby brother to read, or helping my younger friends make it through Geometry unscathed. I also worked as a teaching assistant to my dance teacher, helping younger children grasp the basics of Indian Classical dance. When I entered college, I joined our chapter of the organization Strong Women Strong Girls, which works to empower elementary aged girls by teaching them skills like public speaking and empathy.
Approach
I used to struggle to maintain an interest in the classes I was taking. Freshman year, however, I had a professor who was so positive and passionate about everything he taught that I strove to be as such. Since then, I have found ways to engage with the material I am learning (or teaching!), regardless of the subject matter, and I would like to impart that joy of learning to anyone who struggles as I did. I believe that to be successful, one needs to find a way to connect personally.
