About Me
I am a Spanish graduate student at Texas Christian University. I'm planning on graduating in the next year, and after that happens, I hope to be able to attend University of Texas in Austin to earn my PhD. in Iberian and Hispanic poetry with a professional certification in translating literary works into English.
As someone who enjoys teaching, I have been fortunate enough to start tutoring since my last two high school years. Upon my second semester as a Junior at TCU,I had the privilege to become a tutor at TCU which in turn lead to me becoming a Teaching Assistant once I started the graduate program. Through tutoring I transitioned into being able to teach beginning, intermediate, advanced, and graduate levels of Spanish. Now as a tutor at Frog Tutoring, I am ecstatic about the fact that now I will be able to help even more students.
Growing up and up until the age 20 of I had to battle epilepsy and migraines which caused me to miss class often. It was with help of student volunteer tutors that I was able catch up with all my classes, especially Math. The tutors helped me realize that improving one's grades is a difficult, but not impossible thing to do. As a tutor my goal is to provide students with the same support I received years ago. I believe that is a huge success for both the student and the tutor.
