Fun Facts
I ran track and field at my high school and was a part of the first team to reach the state finals where we placed 7th in the state for the 4X100. I have a younger brother and even though I'm from Miami I like to go snowboarding in North Carolina.
About Me
I am a mechanical engineering student at Florida International University. I am a member of the aerospace engineering club at my university where we are building and improving the design of a model plane for an international competition held every year. When I graduate, I hope to enter the aerospace industry and become a professional engineer.
Experience
I have been a learning assistant for Calculus I at Florida International University where I helped students with preparing for tests, going over homework problems, and general math questions. I have done some private miami">tutoring for middle school and elementary aged children and enjoyed having them walk away more confident.
Approach
As a learning assistant, I learned that in order to optimize learning it is less about what the miami">tutor teaches and more about how the miami">tutor guides the students through a thought process.
