Fun Facts
I am a very fun, energetic, caring and creative person who enjoys going for daily walks. I am also an Author, my story was chosen as a writing assignment for my college professor test book the following term.
I really enjoy supporting students in their education. I utilize open ended questioning this stimulates the mind of students to really think and come up with answers. I guide students to the answer. I give them the tools necessary to learn, discover and challenge themselves
About Me
I am a Paraprofessional 2-Special Educator Assistant with over 6 years if in classroom experience who supports special needs students with daily lessons I also support non-special needs students. I pride myself in providing the best quality education to each student I support
I also I have experience as an AVID portland">Tutor, which provides students with extra support in a peer group setting with any particular issue with a lesson. I provide open ended questions that get their minds thinking
Experience
As mentioned above, I am currently working as an AVID portland">Tutor and I really enjoy seeing students going from not understanding their lesson to really understanding it. Seeing that I finally get it look it their eye is so rewarding.
Approach
As a student growing up I had many challenges, but with help and dedication from my family and teachers I succeed in my education. I made honor roll in both high school and college. I chose education as my career so I can give students that same support in their education as I did.

As an AVID Tutor coached students time management and organizational skills to remain up to date with lessons and home. Teaching them, they are responsible for ensuring all lessons and homework is completed and if missed a lesson what steps to take in order to complete it

I have formulated and managed 1:1/group reading. I really enjoy coaching and teaching students to learn to read. I utilize open ended questions and hands on involvement

I have taught a student who had a writing challenge to succeed in writing by re-teaching the alphabet, turning letters into into a simple word, then sentence, then a paragraph
English Tutoring
Supported students in grammar, vocabulary lessons, learned to to write and say words and how some words are spoken the same way but are written different depending on how they are used in a sentence
Adobe Flash Tutoring
I use Microsoft Word every day creating documents, I am able to insert a photo, downsize a document from 2 pages to 1. I am very comfortable utilizing this program
