I have a passion for writing. I love writing psychological thrillers and short stories. I get a kick out of totally shocking people with a ending they weren't even expecting. Another major passion of mine is traveling. I love going somewhere knew an experiencing a culture different from mine. I also enjoy singing- even though I am absolutely horrible at it.

About Me

I am a Writing and AP Psychology teacher at holyoke-college">Mount Holyoke College. I am a recent alum of holyoke-college">Mount Holyoke College where I majored in Psychology and English and graduated with the highest honors and a defended thesis. My ultimate goal is to become a Developmental Psychologist and teach Psychology at the collegiate level.

Experience

My entire life I was labeled Gifted so I was always asked to miami">tutor students. I used to love seeing that look on a students' face when they finally understood a concept that they hadn't before. Once I went to college, I wanted to see that look again and I started miami">tutoring for general humanities courses. My junior year I was asked to TA for Psychology statistics and developmental psychology. Working for Frog miami">Tutoring will allow me to see that look on students' faces again and I am very excited!

Approach

Over the course of my miami">tutoring career, I learned that in order for a student to learn, the miami">tutor must meet them where they are. This helps the miami">tutor see the concept through the eyes of someone struggling. This also helps the miami">tutor to see where the student went wrong. As a miami">tutor, I do my best to praise the small victories of students because many small victories equal a win. Most importantly, I pride myself on being a high energy and enthusiastic miami">tutor by creating games and relating to real life.
