Fun fact! I love learning! I am also a college swimmer and love to run. I am from Virginia Beach and you can find me at the beach: surfing, running, or just relaxing. I also LOVE to eat any type of Indian food!
About Me
I am a senior Mathematics major at Rhodes College. I achieved Honor Roll last semester. I am a part of the Platoon Leaders Class program and graduated Officer Candidate School this past summer and have officially earned the title of United States Marine, during my career in the Marine Corps I will be attempting to seek my Doctorate in Mathematics or Military Science. Ultimately I would like to become a Combat Engineer for the United States Marine Corps.
Experience
As a member of the National Honor Society, as a part of our community outreach program, we helped washington-dc">tutor students. I loved the experience and never looked back! When I got to Rhodes, I heard of the opportunity to help students in the Refugee empowerment program and washington-dc">tutor them, this allowed me to gain even more experience working with students. Working for Frog washington-dc">Tutoring has given me the great job of helping do what I love which is help students learn!
Approach
I believe it is important to teach through positive reinforcement because it helps students become more excited about learning the material. I also think that I need to help the students learn how to study because those skills will be useful through out college, and beyond. I hope to help the student become more excited about learning in general!

Algebra Tutoring

Study Skills Tutoring
Learning how to study is extremely important to earning good grades and understanding the material. I think that the fundamentals of education stem from what homework reinforces. If a student need help with studying it is important to seek that help, the skills learned through studying apply to college and beyond. So learning how to do study properly is extremely important.
AP English Tutoring
I have taken many years of english, including AP English 11 & 12. Receiving a B or better in both. I love english and find it interesting, and love to pass on the enthusiasm for reading and writing. While I am not seeking a degree in this area, I have considered minoring in English.

History has been consistently one of my favorite subjects through out my life. I have taken AP Government, AP European History, AP United States History, and many more history related courses. Maintaining an A average in all of those courses. I thoroughly love history and would love to bring my enthusiasm into your child's studies.
