About Me

I've been teaching for over 15 years and I specialize in teaching children ages 3-7. I homeschool my children and teach at Kindergarten Prep and Beyond. I believe teaching should be concise, fun, individualized, and allow a mostly child-directed environment.

Experience

I have eighteen years of experience teaching and tutoring.

Approach

I developed a customizable tutoring plan for children ages 3 to 7. I use a variety of teaching resources to keep learning interesting and fun.

In areas of struggle, I ask children questions to facilitate them getting the answer on their own. My goal is for them to internalize those questions so they can become independent learners and problem solvers.

As I teach new concepts, I ask children questions along the way to see if they've got it. If not, I use another approach or resource.
