Fun Facts
I'm a huge college football (Hook em!) and basketball fan and love going to games. I enjoying working out myself and run half marathons. I love gardening, cooking, and painting, and am currently trying to learn guitar. I love staying busy all the time and trying new things!
About Me
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Biochemistry. I was in the top 5% of my class. I got accepted into medical school after graduation, but had to turn down the offer due for health reasons. I am currently trying to apply to the PA program at Baylor Medical in Houston.
Experience
During my undergrad, i was a study group mentor for my biochemistry classes where i coordinated with my professor to come up with a review session I held every week. I've also tutored family friends in high school science and math subjects and would love the opportunity to houston">tutor my students!
Approach
I've always been stronger at math and science subjects and since I was little I've been fascinated with how things work. So, as a houston">tutor I stress the importance of understanding material and concepts at their most basic level instead of just memorizing, and then applying what was learned to the real world so its not just a foreign concept without meaning. I also love sharing study techniques that have helped me in different subjects and helping students find ones that work best for them.

Biochemistry Tutoring
I majored in Biochemistry so I have taken many courses on the subject including Biochemistry I & II, biochemistry lab, advanced techniques in Biochemistry, and Biochemical Engineering and received A's in all these courses. In my Biochemistry I & II classes, I was selected by the professor to hold weekly sessions where I reviewed material we learned over the week.
