Fun Facts
My life is made great by 3 F's; my family, food, and fun! Cooking different cuisines and focusing on healthy ingredients is my favorite thing to do, especially on weekends. For fun I like going for a bike ride, running with my partner, or even just exploring different cities.
About Me
I am an Academic Advisor at a public state university. I earned my Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Spanish and minor in International Studies in 2010, and earned my Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education in 2012. My job allows me to teach a college level course, which feeds my love for teaching and knowledge building.
Experience
My day job is helping guide students through their academic journey in the big picture. I'm excited that Frog Tutoring gives me the chance to guide student in the small details of learning individual subjects. I've done one on one tutoring in Spanish for a private client in the past and my first job in high school was working for a Sylvan Learning Center. I have seen how big companies do tutoring, and I've seen how individual attention and guidance can be successful, too.
Approach
Most subjects came easy to me, until college. My study skills were non-existent and time management wasn't even in my vocabulary. I was used to learning the material for the test and then moving on. I had to learn a brand new approach to learning. My approach to tutoring is to not only help you learn what you need for the test, but to help you learn it for beyond that one magic moment. If we build a great foundation, the house that will sit on top if it will last a lifetime.

MastersCommunication Tutoring
I took several classes during my college career in Communication including Fundamentals of Public Speaking and Introduction to Human Communication. I earned a B and an A, respectively. During my Masters coursework and subsequent work experience, I've had extensive experience in presentations and studying communication both digitally and for presentation purposes.
International Studies Tutoring
I earned a minor in International Studies with a focus on Latin America. My coursework includes topics courses in International Politics and Middle East Anthropology, as well. Additionally, I've studied abroad in Spain with a focus on Islamic Culture in Iberia.
