Fun Facts
I have always had a passion for music growing up. I have played the guitar for many years and am now teaching myself the piano. Studying music and learning various instruments as a child (I also played the saxophone) taught me persistence, patience, dedication, and a number of other skills. Music will always be a big part of my life!
About Me
I am a senior at Wayne State University currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Physics as well as a minor in mathematics. I have a 4.0 in physics and a 3.72 GPA overall. One thing about me, is that I always take the time to help out students in my classes who seem to be struggling with the material, as this is one thing I am passionate about, and it also strengthens my understanding of the material. After graduating, I plan to further my studies in physics and obtain a PhD.
Experience
During my time at Wayne State University, I have been employed as a peer mentor. This required me to aid in the teaching of active discussion sections of university level Physics II courses (calculus and algebra based). I got the chance to work with hundreds of students, and received a lot of positive feedback from students as well as teachers of the course. Students broke into groups and worked through guided activities, while I would answer any questions, monitor progress, and more.
Approach
I am very persistent when it comes to educating in the sciences and mathematics, and have had experience working with students at various levels of understanding, including those who were truly struggling with material. I find it useful to be able to employ several different methods for conveying a concepts. Some students learn better verbally, others visually, and so on. I try to cater my teaching to students specific needs to ensure that the student has the most effective learning experience.

Calculus 2 Tutoring
Taken Calculus II at a university level and received a 4.0. I utilize the skills learned in this class every day and have some teaching experience in this subject as well.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
Taken Calculus III at a university level and received an A-. I utilize the skills learned in this class every day and have some teaching experience in this subject as well.
Elementary Statistics Tutoring
I have not had a formal statistics course at the university level, but utilize concepts from elementary and advanced statistics all the time in my quantum physics and thermal and statistical physics courses.
Math Tutoring
I have taken many mathematics courses at the university level, and receive an A in just about all of them. I am confident in my ability to teach mathematics all the way up to the level of differential equations, and linear algebra (this includes calculus, trig, etc.). I have also had a fair amount of experience teaching in these areas.
Math Advance Tutoring
I have received an A in all of my calculus courses (I, II, III), and A in differential equations, and an A in linear algebra. I am confident in my abilities to teach mathematics up to this level, but not beyond. I have had a fair amount of experience teaching these concepts to others.
Physics Advance Tutoring
I am very confident in my ability to tutor or teach in advanced physics. I am almost done with my advanced physics degree and have a 4.0 GPA. Below are my advanced physics courses and grades:
Classical Mechanics I: A
Classical Mechanics II: A
Methods of Theoretical Physics: A
Modern Physics: A
Quantum Physics I: A
Electronics: A
Optics: A
I have also received A's in all of my lab courses thus far. I have a fair amount of experience teaching all of these topics to university students.
Physics I Tutoring
I am very confident in my ability to teach physics I at a university level, and have experience doing so. I have received an A in my Physics I course at the university level.
Physics II Tutoring
I am very confident in my ability to teach university level Physics II, and have even been employed as a TA doing so. I have received an A in my Physics II course. I have experience teaching these concepts (calculus and algebra based) to students of all different levels of understanding, and have received much positive feedback doing so.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I am confident in my ability to teach this course at a university level. I have taken this course at a university level, and have received an A in almost all mathematics courses that I have taken at Wayne State. I have some experience teaching this subject as well.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I am very confident in my ability to teach college level trigonometry. I do not have a formal college trig course under my belt (often they are not offered for the route I am perusing), bur I use trigonometry every day of my life and in every one of my physics classes. I have experience teaching this subject matter as well.
