Fun Facts
If there is one thing you need to know about me, that is I love travelling. When I was in China, I have traveled to Tibet, Yunnan, and almost every province in China. After coming to America, I have been to Alaska, Texas, Hawaii, and Mexico alone. During these wonderful one person trips, I can see the world in a different viewpoint. Also, it is a great chance for me to learn varieties of local customs and practices. I do believe the best way to understand a place, is to understand its culture.
About Me
I’m currently working on my Mater degree of Financial Mathematics at University of Minnesota. I achieved my Bachelor Degree at hall-university">Seton Hall University in New Jersey in 2014. During my undergraduate period, I double major in Financial Mathematics and Marketing. After that I worked as a quantitative analyst in a Sports Company. Mathematics is my strength, and I’m able to explain the complicated theories in an easy way to understand.
Experience
I spent my first two years of my undergraduate life in China. In summer, I became a volunteer tutoring high school students Mathematics and English in some undeveloped areas of Jiangsu Province. Also I achieved a certificate of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and tutored Chinese for people from different countries. They like me very much, because I’m very easygoing, and could make them acquire knowledge in a short time.
Approach
In middle school, I fortunately met a Math teacher who taught me not only with the answer, but also the importance of methodology and mathematical thinking. This kind of teaching approach influenced me a lot. When I was as a tutor in College, I was good at help students find the essence of the problems. Also, it is very necessary to tutor them in accordance with their aptitude. Individualized teaching is a best way to help students acquire knowledge.
