About Me
I graduated from Marist High School in Chicago and now I am currently a sophomore biochemistry major at chicago">Loyola University Chicago. I love the sciences and am working hard through Loyola's challenging courses, and after all that pays off I hope to get into Loyola's med school or maybe pursue something in pharmaceuticals.
Experience
All throughout high school I was on the Dean's list and was a member of the National Honor Society. I tutored students almost every day after school during the school week, mostly chemistry, math and Spanish. I was also a Peer Leader my senior year and that required me to be present at a underclassmen class every day and help the students out with organizing their work and also learning the material.
Approach
It gives me joy to see that I have helped a student learn something, that "aha!" moment. Growing up, I had a hard time speaking and understanding English and so every subject for me seemed like a foreign language to me. I know that for some students, certain subjects are very confusing and are hard to understand as if it were like learning a new language. I hope to help students fully understand or even master the subjects they need help in.
