Fun Facts
My two biggest passions, besides my family and teaching, are sports and music. I spend a majority of my free time catching up with my local sports teams or jamming with my friends. I also have a strong passion in theatrical arts. I love to write and act.
About Me
Currently I'm finishing up my English Teaching Bachelors of Science within the Urban Education program at Metropolitan State University. I have an accumulative GPA of 3.81. When I graduate I hope to find a position where I can help students discover their dreams and achieve their goals.
Experience
I'm currently enrolled in the Urban Education Program at Metropolitan State University. I have experience working in a middle school setting as a English and Reading teacher's assistant. I've also helped coach football camps over the summers.
Approach
I have been gifted with exceptional teachers that go above and beyond to help students achieve success. I bring this mentality with me to every student I encounter. I have a huge respect for learning and hold knowledge to a high regard. My responsibility as a tutor is to equip students with the tools to become better learners and thinkers in and beyond the classroom. I intend to help students develop and master habits that will help them throughout their entire educational experience.

English has always been one of my favorite subjects in school. I have experience working with students as a English teacher's assistant. I also have experience working with ELL (English Language Learning) students.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have experience working as a reading teacher's assistant. I have experience working with students struggling with reading comprehension as well as ELL (English Language Learning) students. I enjoy reading all types of literature. I've taken an Adolescence Literature class and have a great understanding on how to help students to find an enjoyable book.
Study Skills Tutoring
Study skills are extremely important to becoming an effective student. I've have always relied on my top notch study skills to help me digest the content of any class. I have experience in helping students with organizational and study skills that help them gain hold of what is being taught in the classroom.
Writing Tutoring
Writing has always been one of my favorite subjects and school. Writing is one of my passions. I have a great understanding of both creative and formal writing structures.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have experience working with middle school students as a reading and English homework coach. I also have experience working with slow learning students as well as ELL (English language learning) students. As a student and a tutor, I understand the importance of homework and it's relationship to what is being taught in the classroom.
AP English Tutoring
I took AP English in High School and passed with an A.This class requires a high degree of time management skills. I know the skills it takes to successfully manage the workload of this class.
