Fun Facts
I did ballet for 13 years and spent a summer with Nashville Ballet. I LOVE cooking, everything from big meals to sweet treats. One of my favorite extracurricular activities is being a tour guide at TCU. I love to meet the incoming students and share my love for TCU. I am also a member of a sorority as well as student government.
About Me
I come from a large family, so I love being around people. I love being involved and making a difference. I am very driven, yet I love stepping back in order to help someone else.
Growing up with four younger siblings, my tutor experience stems a lot from being an older sibling. I tutor my younger sister in high school regularly, as well as my brother in elementary school, and my other brother with special needs. I taught ballet for a few years to children ranging from ages 3-15. I also serve as a counselor at a leadership camp for middle school and high school students educating them on the importance of self-confidence and increasing their knowledge in many areas.
Everyone learns differently, and a tutor needs to be able to adapt to different students needs. A tutor should make learning fun and interesting. A young child might learn better with stories and pictures, while an older student may have more specific questions, and therefore a tutor must be a good listener. I believe confidence can make a huge difference and even make understanding and learning much easier for students.
