Fun Facts

What people generally find out about me is that I love sports. I played football, basketball, and ran track in high school as well as coached basketball to elementary school students. My favorite sports teams are the Atlanta Falcons, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Celtics, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. If I can find the time, I enjoy watching TV shows, specifically Blindspot and Blacklist.

About Me

I graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Astrophysics. I worked for a year at NASA Langley Research Center until I commissioned in the United States Marine Corps where I work as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. I hope to also pursue a Ph.d in Aerospace Engineering focusing on Hypersonic Propulsion and use my academic and military experiences as roadwork for a career as an astronaut.

Experience

I have been tutoring with Frog Tutoring since 2016. Prior to this, I was a teachers assistant for Calculus II while at IIT. I have tutored ACT and SAT test prep extensively as well as math at all levels from elementary math to college calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra.

Approach

I have always had an enjoyment for school. The feeling after mastering the material and proving my grasp of the material on exams in one of the most rewarding feelings. As a tutor, I attempt to develop this love for learning in all that choose to take the challenge of furthering their education.

Astronomy Tutoring

As an astrophysics major I have taken the introduction to astrophysics class and received an A. I am currently taking a Steller Astrophysics class and am on track for an A in this class too.

Calculus I Tutoring

In my senior year of high school I took the AP Calculus AB exam and received a 5. Having taken Calculus 1 through Calculus 3, differential equations, and about to take a linear algebra class, I have demonstrated my understanding for calculus. Mathematics is additive and therefore if I were not fully competent in introductory calculus I would not be able to continue in my major of Aerospace Engineering or Astrophysics.

Calculus 2 Tutoring

My freshmen year of college at IIT I received an A in this class with a 94.

Calculus 3 Tutoring

In my sophomore year of college I took this class and received a B. However, I received a 100 on the final exam. I suffered some health related issues this semester and it took a toll on me during my mid-semester exams.

College Algebra Tutoring

Having taken Calculus 1 through Calculus 3, differential equations, and about to take a linear algebra class, I have demonstrated my understanding for high school calculus. Mathematics is additive and therefore if I were not fully competent in introductory calculus I would not be able to continue in my major of Aerospace Engineering or Astrophysics.

Physics I Tutoring

Physics 1 and 2 generally does not cover more than general physics classes at the high school level. Being a physics, and having taken much more advanced physics classes, I am able and ready to tutor general introductory physics.
