Fun Facts

Something that is somewhat interesting about me is that I hate to see my room unorganized. Regardless of this, it always looks messy and I have no clue as to why. I guess I will just have to keep organizing it three times a day.

About Me

About me: I am currently a senior at TCU. I plan to graduate in the spring 2012 with a degree in Math Middle School Education. In the future I plan to teach fifth or sixth grade math in a Fort Worth public school.

Experience: I began working with students ever since I was in high school. During that time I volunteered as a mentor to students placed in the education/texas/fort-worth">special education classroom. I also volunteered at a couple of elementary schools to care for children while their parents were in their computer classes. Ever since my sophomore year in college I began tutoring students. I have tutored for almost two years now and I enjoy it very much. I have tutored math, Spanish, physics and SAT strategies.

Tutoring Approach: As I study for my degree I have learned it is very important to establish relationships with students. This is essential because students need to have the confidence to say when they do not understand the content and ask for help. Also, practice is very important as well. In order to completely comprehend the concept one needs to practice regularly. So, as I tutor I want the student to feel and know that I am more than happy to help and make sure he/she understands the material well.
