Fun Facts

I take improv comedy classes with the KC Improv team. I also am an avid Kansas City Royals fan. I enjoy playing outside, whether it be basketball, baseball, frisbee, or tennis. I read a lot of books on science related topics to keep up to date, so that when I tutor, I can relate the subject material to modern day advances.

About Me

I am a graduate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. I wanted to take the medical school track, but I realized through my service with Americorps NCCC, that education is my passion.

I have worked as a Sunday school teacher for my local Kansas City parish, St. Terese of the Little Flower. I also worked at the Bruce Normile Juvenile Detention Center in Kirskville, MO where I worked with young women develop healthy outlooks on fitness both physical and mental.

I look at learning as an exploration; something that gives you power. You can never stop learning, and the best part of science is that you are never done learning! Every subject has hidden surprised that help you view the world in a whole new outlook. You just have to open your eyes.
