Fun Facts

Growing up I participated in wide variety of activities and sports (from ballet to ice hockey). During my college years I played rugby, but I have since hung up my cleats. Now, I participate in a sport that demands a little less of me.. kickball! I play kickball on the National Mall, which gives me the opportunity to enjoy some of DC's beautiful sites.I also very much so enjoy relaxing with my English Bulldog pup catching up on all our favorite shows.

About Me

In 2013, I earned my BSBA in Accounting from The Catholic University of America. After graduating, I worked in Construction Accounting for 1 year before making the transition to becoming a Staff Accountant at a Private Equity Firm. Currently, I am working full time and pursing a Masters in Accounting at washington-university">George Washington University.

Experience

During college I had the opportunity to tutor and mentor under privileged children in Washington DC. That experience gave me the ability to open the students eyes to a new perspective and approach on learning. The one on one tutor time was extremely beneficial. It gave me the chance to determine the students learning style, and gave the student the one on one help they needed.

Approach

Growing up I have always been a visual learning. Therefore, I have learn to take each thing I have been taught and adjust the lecture to my learning style. It is important to me that each student has the opportunity to identify what style of learning works best to them and adjust their classroom education to that. Overall, I like to approach the students with an energetic, upbeat attitude that I hope they also develop about learning.
