Fun Facts
Cooking and baking are my greatest interests. I've traveled to many places to research the local diets and dishes. My devotions in cooking have strengthened my creation, patience, and passion in other things. While my culinary experiences open up one way for me to view the world, my interest in martial arts give me another approach to enjoy life. Although not an expert, I participate in BC's student-sponsored martial art club and practice Muay Thai for leisure.
About Me
I am a junior Biochemistry major at Boston College. I've been on the Honors Chemistry track for 2 years. After graduation, I want to continue on a MS program in nutrition at tufts. My next consideration is a PhD program in clinical nutrition after graduate school. I have planned my career path as a dietitian/ nutritionist, and I want to conduct researches on nutrition in clinical fields.
Experience
With an outstanding high school GPA, I has the opportunity to tutor students in all subjects every week during my senior year in high school for both one-on-one sessions and group teachings up to 30 students. As I scored 800 on SAT Math and 5 on AP Stats, Calc AB/BC, Chemistry, Physics E/M, and Micro&Macro Econ, I have rich experiences in tutoring for exams. In college, I volunteered in tutoring Elementary and Intermediate Chinese. Frog Tutoring enables me to help more students.
Approach
From my past experiences, one-on-one tutoring is a more effective and suitable approach than group lecturing for some students. Not only will private lessons provide tailored strengthening and focus on certain area for each student, but they will ensure frequent ask-and-answer interactions between the student and the tutor. I tend to acquire and encourage responses from my students to assess their understanding, make adjustments, and cultivate their habits of paying attention in class.

I am a native speaker of Chinese. In my senior and junior years in college, I have tutored two students on Elementary Chinese. With a native background in Chinese, I can share many historical and cultural facts with the student to help his/her understanding towards the materials. In addition, I am studying the material and cultural history of Chinese food this semester. A taste of Chinese dietary regime and culinary history will definitely motivates students' interests in the language.

In addition, I have tutored a group of 30 high students during my senior year in high school. I have established my collection of tutoring materials through my own preparation of the test and through my past tutoring jobs. However, I am more than happy to use any textbook or study materials that the student provides.
STATA Tutoring
I have taken Statistics courses for AP in high school and later in college, along with the associated laboratory session. Use of STATA is familiar to me, as I have numerous experiences in handling mass data on the software and application of STATA in doing my project. Step-by-step tutoring on the use of STATA will be provided. In addition, skills and tricks in analyzing data are also available.
