Fun Facts

I love to tutor my peers as well as younger students. Since high school, I've lead study groups with classmates as well as tutored friends and family members who were still in high school. My strongest subjects are Math and Physics which also happen to be my favorites. I've taken all the way up to Modern Physics and Differential Equations for Math. In my spare time, I enjoy shooting billiards and going to 9-ball tournaments, as well as playing basketball with my friends.

About Me

Currently, I am attending Texas A&M University to study the field of electrical engineering. Although I'm not completely sure in which direction I'd like my career to go, I do want to work for an automotive company in which I would deal with the efficiency of electrical systems on modern production vehicles. Aside from my career, I strive to improve my skills as a billiards player and have been working tirelessly at this for a little over two years now.

Although I have never held a position as a tutor in the past, I've always enjoyed helping others learn and improve their understanding in the fields of math, physics, and certain areas of electrical engineering. In high school and college, I've lead numerous study groups along with one-on-one help sessions with my peers to study for tests, quizzes, or even just to review concepts covered during lecture. Outside of schools that I've attended, I've been referred by others to help students in elementary and middle school learn organizational skills, good study habits, and problem solving.

I've found after several years of experience as tutor and as a student studying for exams, the best way to learn and understand the subject matter can be broken down into four steps. The first two steps involve having the student go over the theory (if necessary in relation to topic) behind the subject matter, and once the theory is understood, to go over basic example problems in which the theory may be applied. Once the student has grasped how the example problems are solved and why they are solved that way, I will provide them with a set of steps they can follow in order to problem solve correctly and efficiently. Last but not least, students will be given example problems to work out during the tutoring session as well as outside of class to be examined in the following tutoring session.
