Fun Facts
After graduating from college, I took a year to travel through Europe and Asia. I feel deeply passionate about traveling and exploration, and encountering new places, new cultures, and new people. This experience, with all the highs and lows that it brought, opened my eyes in so many ways.
About Me
I am a 23 year-old recent graduate from Vanderbilt University. I am currently applying for graduate school programs in psychology, with the aim to someday become a therapist! In the meantime, I am enjoying working as a tutoring, and continuing to learn about myself and the world around me.
Experience
I have been tutoring for more than 6 years in a range of subjects from English to Science and everything in-between. I've worked now with 4 different tutoring organizations and with students from elementary school through high school. I've always been excited about the opportunity to help my fellow students learn and grow. I'm continuously striving to learn more myself, and I hope to do so together with you!
Approach
I find it genuinely rewarding and enjoyable to help my peers learn and grow, and always bring enthusiasm to my tutoring work. I always make an effort to get my students engaged and involved in their work by connecting with them, getting to know them, and integrating their passions and interests into my lesson plan.

Sociology
English Tutoring
I specialize in English and literary analysis, as this was a core focus of both my high school and college academic curriculums. I excelled in my college English classes, earning an 4.0 combined GPA.
Sociology Tutoring
Sociology was my major at Vanderbilt University. I took almost 30 hours of sociology classes and finished with a cumulative 3.85 GPA for my degree. I studied a wide range of sociological perspectives and disciplines.
Study Skills Tutoring
Study skills was something I worked intensively on to improve during my college years. I learned a lot of specific, helpful strategies to organize and learn course material, as well as strategies to study for upcoming exams. I have taught study skills to students from elementary through high school.
Writing Tutoring
My writing experience recently culminated in a 70-page senior honors thesis that I wrote for my undergraduate sociology degree. Writing has been a strength of mine for several years now, as I went to a high school program which placed special emphasis on writing essays, literary analysis, and persuasive works. I feel confident in providing support in all stages of writing, from brainstorming, to organizing and outlining, to crafting a thesis, and revising. I have tutored writing in a range of age groups, from elementary students to high school seniors working on their college essays.
AP English Tutoring
I took an IB/AP English class and received an A in the course and a 5 on the AP exam. I have tutored high school English, helping students with reading comprehension, literary analysis, and writing techniques.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Study skills was something I worked intensively on to improve during my college years. I have been a homework coach to students from elementary through high school.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I received an A in my pre-algebra class, and have tutored high school and middle school students in this subject.

I have worked extensively in the past to help students improve their reading comprehension and become thoughtful, critical readers. I received a score of 700 on the SAT reading comprehension section.
SAT Math Tutoring
I received a score of 700 on the SAT math section and feel confident in tutoring SAT math.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
I received a score of 730 on the SAT verbal/writing section.
