I love to teach and learn any subject that I possibly can, which I feel has made me a well-rounded person. I am passionate about swimming, which has taught me dedication. I am strong in my believes, which has made me a stronger person in character and I have great leadership skills which leads my motivation to be the best example that I can to others.

About Me

I am a current University graduate that is looking for an opportunity to continue doing what I love best. That is teaching anyone about any subject matter. I graduated with a Bachelor in Art and a minor in Spanish; with a teaching certification. I have student observed other teacher in the field for about three years and I did my own student teaching this past spring for about six months. I will be certified to teach K-12 in Art. After that I will work on my certification in Spanish. Aside from that, I have also been a swim instructor for three years and I tutored UTSA’s athletes for about six months before I did my student teaching. I taught various subjects such as; all level Spanish, geography and education.

My tutoring experience is working for UTSA’s athletic department, as I stated above for about six months. I taught various subjects such as; all level Spanish, geography and education. I also have done about two years of private lessons, in swimming instruction.

I am a firm believer in catering to the student’s needs. I like to get to know them, so I know what their interest are, so that I can be able to reference what they love to what they are now learning. When we make those associations, I feel like we learn better. I also strive to be the best at what I am teaching; in that I don’t like teaching something, if I don’t understand it first. Or if I must teach something I don’t know, I research and learn in my own time, to get better myself and then at teaching it.
