I am originally from the carribean and had the fortunate opportunity to live in the united states of america. I love culture and I love to teach people about my jamaican culture. I love learning about languages and about people who are diffrenent from me. I enjoy horse back riding even though Im no good at it but Im loove with animals. I love spending time with my family and going to the beach, I am a island baby.
About Me
I am in the medical field and have had the opportuntiy to work along side great physicians and soak up as much knolewgde from them as possible. I am a 1st year biology major at the cincinnati">University of Cincinnati but I love literture and Hope to become a great writer one day as well as a Docotor. As of right now my second love is being a phlebotomist.
Experience
As a shy and timid child I had a difficult time learning and sometimes making friends. So I understand what its like to feel a little scared insecure or maybe just not interested. Even in high school I was very shy and one day my science teacher said to me "your my top student and I think you would make a great ESL TA." I took the offer with having no knolweged of what to expect and it was the best thing that could ever happen to me. I had a purpose and being used to help other kids like me.
Approach
Growing up in a strange land was a definite culture shock for me at such a young and tender age. I had difficulty learning my teachers were always concerned. Unfortunately many gave up on me but I had a few fortunate teachers who saw pass my difficulites and stirred a fire in me, seeing my true potentional on how great I can be and more. Thanks to them and my amazing family who stuck by me and encorage me to never give up I am blessed to live life to my fullest.

In high school I had a history teacher that made class so much fun that I couldnt wait to go to his class and do homework which was very shocking but With that he made it fun and easy and of course I Aced his class.
Science Tutoring
I love sicience one of my favorite subjects and easy once you understand it Ive taken basic science, zoology, and anatomy and phyisiology. alawys passed with an A or B.
Study Skills Tutoring
Being in college gives the opportunity to become organized and manage your time wisley. Tackling classes and my life outside of school and work puts so much into perspective but if I did not have theses obstacles in my way I would not have the chance to grow and mature to survive or even be a professional in the real world.
Social Studies Tutoring
I enjoy learning about our american history and how there are similarites as well as differences in our current day. I have experience in teaching little ones about how to read about our history and helping them to understand the material they just aquired.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension will help you with pretty much every day, if you understand what you read then your brain is able to process that information. My professors could tell I liked this subect and passed with an A.
Writing Tutoring
Writing is my all time favorite and Ive have teacher and profssor praise my work for writing. I love creative writing and my teachers would always use my work as an example. Academic writing is a diffrent animal but can be tamed.
Violin Tutoring
I have played the violin for about 6 years in school from jurnior high to high school. I enjoy playing for pleasure and learning new things. I can read music and help with hand position. I would enjoy teaching for begginers.
