About Me
I am currently a Senior at Northeastern Illinois University. I will graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art and a minor in Psychology in May 2014. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree, I plan on attending Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville to receive a Master's Degree in Art Therapy. My career goals include working with children either in a school or hospital and combining my artistic and therapeutic skills to aid those in need. Ultimately, I would like to use my degree to help my community and the world.
I currently work with children ages 3-12 as a swimming instructor at Big Blue Swim School. My responsibilities include maintaining safety in and around the pool at all times, communicating children's progress to parents and supervisors, properly teaching swimming skills and motivating children to swim. I very much enjoy working with children, as it provides a rewarding feeling of accomplishment.
I believe motivation, patience, organization and practice are key factors in a successful chicago">tutoring experience. As someone who is currently a student, I believe I can teach and communicate my own experiences and successful approaches to my clients. I am extremely organized and always motivated to teach what I know best, which I believe will positively affect my clients.
