
Fun Facts
I am passionate about physics, writing (especially poetry), piano (especially Jazz), mathematics, and science/oregon/portland">computer science. I have only recently started playing piano and love both the creative aspect and the theory side. I've published a paper on Quantum Computing, specifically Quantum Error Correction with a professor and post-doc at Georgia Tech, as well. I've tutored before and been a teacher's aid.
About Me
I'm a senior at Lewis & Clark College. I'll be graduating in May of 2017. I'll be getting a Physics major and Mathematics minor. I'm planning on going to Grad school, but will take a year off first.
Experience
I've tutored in the peer help center for Physics, Mathematics, and science/oregon/portland">Computer Science at Lewis & Clark for two years and I ran a study session of about 25 students for a freshman Physics course. I worked as a teacher's aid at elementary school in High School as well. I can work with all ages and have!
Approach
I can't tell you how I will approach teaching your child because I know first hand that everyone learns differently. As such, I will first have to learn what kind of a learner your child is. Do they understand verbal concepts well, but not mathematical abstractions? If so, I would try to distill mathematical abstraction into words. My approach is to tailor my teaching style directly to the child I will be teaching!

I took Calculus I my freshman year of College. I got a B+ in the course which is admittedly lower than I was capable of achieving, but not bad nonetheless. I am confident I could tackle any problem your child is having as I have also taken Calculus II and III
