I enjoy playing guitar and singing. My first job was working on maintenance crew and as a caddie at a golf course.

About Me

I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I love to travel and speak Spanish. During college I studied abroad in Spain where I took classes at a local university. After college I began to teach and tutor. I love to teach about environmental science, jewelry, painting and sports. I love sharing my knowledge of Spanish. My goal is to become a full-time tutor and Spanish teacher.

Experience

After college I worked as a volunteer coordinator at a K-12 school. Soon after my work at the K-12 school I traveled to Spain for the second time to be a North American Language and Culture Assistant. In that program I assisted English classes in a small town. Spain is where I began tutoring in English. Since I have been back I have tutored students ages 6-15 in Spanish.

Approach

When I was a student it was very helpful for me to make connections and see how the subjects relate to current events outside the classroom. I tutor by giving real world examples and addressing each student's particular learning style.
