Fun Facts
I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I grew up playing soccer and participating in musical theater. At UT I was a member of many organizations including the school newspaper and our student government. History buff and political nerd.
About Me
I am a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. I received University Honors most semesters and was a member of numerous honors organizations. I graduated in the top 2% of History majors at UT, and hope to attend law school in the near future.
Experience
I first began tutoring as a member of National Honor Society, and had the opportunity to tutor students weekly in several subject areas during my junior and senior years of high school. Upon entering college I would often help my friends study for class or manage their time more wisely. I also spent many summers working at educational camps, so I love working with kids/young adults and helping them achieve their full potential!
Approach
I am all about organization and pulling out the most important information. I think it is important to break down whatever you are learning into small digestible pieces so it seems less overwhelming. I prioritize efficiency and working smart. I have a positive and patient attitude, and seek to foster not only competency within a given subject area, but excitement and confidence when exploring new concepts. I am passionate about learning and I think it shines through in my approach.

English Tutoring
I was an English minor and an opinion columnist for UT's premiere publication "The Daily Texan". My Liberal Arts courses were writing intensive and I have experience writing in many mediums. I have taken and received A's in classes ranging from Brit Lit to Exploring Islamic Thought in the Modern Indian Novel.
International Studies Tutoring
I took every International Relations course UT offered. I am especially competent in Latin American and East Asian Affairs. I have a deep understanding of IR theory and can assist in analyzing world events through every college level framework.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
As a student of the Liberal Arts I understand how important Reading Comprehension can be. If you are getting through dense readings for the first time it can seem overwhelming, however, with a little work you can easily understand almost any material. Improving your ability to determine important facts, and fully understanding material can benefit you in every subject.
Spanish I Tutoring
I took Spanish for 7 years. I have a good understanding of basic conjugation and vocabulary. I studied abroad in Spain for three months and am confident I can help you.
Study Skills Tutoring
Study Skills were my strongest suit. Figuring out how to get through information in college can be overwhelming - luckily it isn't too hard when you get the hang of it! Whether you have a lot of reading, or a big test to prepare for I can assist with all aspects of studying and time management.

I have received an A in every English course I have ever taken. I was an English minor at UT Austin and received a 760 on my SAT Reading section as well as a 7 on the IB English Exam.
