About Me

I am a very hardworking, goal oriented individual. I am very passionate about learning and teaching. It is my goal to get a PhD and become a professor for a prestigious university. I have been a volunteer coordinater for SNDA (Student Nutrition and Dietetic Association) because I believe that I can motivate others to gift few of their precious time for the good of our community. Currently I work as Registered Dietitian for American Healthcare and Dietary Directions.

Experience

I have volunteered for the fresno">tutoring club at Buchanan in Geometry, Algebra and Chemistry. My very first job was as an AVID fresno">tutor and I tutored students’ 9th-12th grade. I was hired by the clovis">Clovis Unified School District. It was a challenging post because I had to manage over 6-10 students in a group. As an AVID fresno">tutor it was not my responsibility to tell them the answers but to guide them towards the right answer.

Approach

Through my experience as a fresno">tutor I learned the importance of patience, encouragement, and consistency. With patience I could guide them through the problem-solving process. However, it was only through consistency and encouragement I was able to effectively aid them to reach their goals. As a nutrition educator i have learned the importance of creativity and time-management.
