Fun Facts
Growing up in Queens, N.Y. has allowed me to meet a diversity of people. I remember my friends from middle school being of different ethnic groups. It is interesting to me studying and learning about different cultures. I also enjoy music and art. My passion for music has helped me connect with people from different backgrounds.
About Me
As a student at Queens College, I was able to study Communications, Spanish and Art.
I've used my communications skills at my previous and current jobs to the best of my ability. As a Paraprofessional, I have mastered my communication skills by closely working with teachers and students.
Experience
Working for Supreme Evaluation for over 5 years gave me the experience of working with elementary school aged students. It gave me confidence working at a school environment among teachers and students. To further my career, I decided to become a Paraprofessional and am currently working with High School students.
Approach
Having worked with students of different ages, I have learned that every child is different and learns in different ways. I have learned different strategies which I can apply to each student according to his or her needs.

I qualify to tutor in Reading Comprehension because I am currently and have previously worked with students in this area. I understand that each child has his own pace at learning how to read.
Spanish Tutoring
I can tutor in Spanish because I am fluent in speaking, writing, and reading Spanish. I have worked with Spanish speaking students for over 5 years.
Writing Tutoring
I can tutor and instruct a student in Writing because I am currently working in this area. I understand the Common Core Standards for Writing.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I qualify being a Homework Coach because I have experience helping students with Homework

Math Tutoring
I qualify to help in Elementary School Math because I have experience working in a first grade classroom with students
Social Studies Tutoring
I qualify to tutor in Social Studies because I am currently working in a classroom setting where we are teaching Global History. Social Studies is a subject that is taught regularly in school.
English Tutoring
I am currently helping an eleventh grade student prepare for his English Reagents. I have also previously worked with younger children in Grammar and English.
Spanish I Tutoring
I can read, write, and speak the Spanish language. I also took Spanish courses in College. I am currently working as a language Paraprofessional.
