I speak six languages with varying degrees of fluency and love connecting with people of different backgrounds. My true passion is helping people however I can.

About Me

I'm a Military Law Enforcement Officer with a B.A in French with a Russian minor. My hobbies include reading, woodworking, and cooking. When I have the time, I like to cook multiple course meals and invite friends over. I am currently applying to Graduate School to Study Russia, the Soviet Union, and Eastern Europe.

Experience

Since I was a Freshman in High School, I have assisted different people in language acquisition. Once I entered college (with time out for military service) I found myself meeting people of many different backgrounds and managed to help most of them learn colloquial English. I have spent time as a foreign language instructor teaching Spanish, French, German, and Russian at the High School and college level.

Approach

Patience is a virtue. When helping someone who does not quite understand what they are learning, sometimes you have to try several approaches to finally make the information stick. As a tutor, I try to remain upbeat and helpful, even when the going gets tough.
