Fun Facts
A passion that I've developed my whole life to continuously help others. Growing up I participated in the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. This program exposed me to community service and the benefits of creating a better community. This has spurred me to continue to help individuals achieve academic success through tutoring at the collegiate level.
About Me
I am a junior transfer student at the University of California Berkeley. I'm majoring Industrial Engineering & Operational Research. When I graduate, I hope to be working at Tesla and applying my academic knowledge to develop a sustainable electrochemical energy source.
I am an outgoing and jolly individual who loves to meet new people. I love the outdoors and living an active lifestyle.
Experience
During my two years at community college, I was employed as a college tutor at my junior college's Teaching and Learning Center. Over the course of two years, I met and worked with a diverse group of students. As a chemical engineering major, I assisted my fellow students in the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.
In high school, I volunteered a summer as a summer camp counselor at the local park and recreation. I've learned how to work and communicate with children.
Approach
From working with so many different types of students at community college, I have come to realize and understand that every student is unique and requires their own teaching style. Whenever I work with a new student I immediately try to connect with the individual at a genuine level and find out both their academic performance level and their learning style. Tutoring at community college has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I love helping other succeed.

I completed AP Calculus AB/BC with AP Scores of 5/4. In addition, I have completed the entire calculus sequence for my major. I've tutored Calculus at both the high school and college level through school employment and private tutoring services.

I have earned A's in all my college physics courses to declare my major. in addition, I have earned A's in my AP classes in high school and passed both AP Physics B and C exams. I've tutored physics (algebra based and calculus based) at the college level.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have completed an education course at UC Berkeley entitled "GOALS for Success in the Sciences" which analyzed different study habits/methods and required its students to implement them in their personal academic career. In addition, as a college tutor I have worked passionately with many students with discussions/advisement in study habits and academic success.
Algebra Tutoring
I completed the honors algebra course in seventh grade, earning grades of A both semesters. As a community college tutor I have tutored algebra at the collegiate level and have learned how to tutor even the most diverse individuals in the subject.
Algebra II Tutoring
I completed Algebra II my freshmen year of high school with A's both semesters. In high school I tutored my fellow peers in math as a member of the California Scholarship Federation. Furthermore, I have tutored Algebra II at the collegiate level.

Piano Tutoring
I played/learned piano from the age of seven to fourteen from private instructors. In addition, I have personally instructed children in learning how to play piano. I performed/participated in school bands from seventh grade until sophomore year.
