Fun Facts

I log dogs and have a female teacup Chihuahua named Tinky! :) She's 10 years old. I also love hiking and spending time on the lake with family and friends. I grew up on Lake Keowee in Upstate SC. I am also a proud Clemson grad. Go Tigers! National Champs!

About Me

I am a recent graduate of Elon University School of Law where I earned my Juris Doctor degree. I sat for the February NC Bar Exam and am awaiting results. I hope to practice in the areas of immigration and family law. I also have a passion for learning and am an avid believer in that education is the key to success.

Experience

I have experience tutoring all ages, from preschool aged children to college students. For example, I was involved in a mentoring program where I met with elementary students at a local elementary school twice weekly to work on reading skills. I also tutored NCAA college athletes at Clemson University in college-level Sociology and Psychology.

Approach

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." I believe that to be an effective teacher, you must first set a string foundation by teaching students HOW to study. Once students know how to effectively study, their performance and success skyrockets. I have developed strong study skills over the years which I used to obtain by Bachelor's degree and my law degree, and I would love to share these techniques with students in need of help.
