Fun Facts

Outside of the classroom I have a passion for art ranging from painting to pottery to photography. I am currently a photographer for three student publications at Northwestern University and I am also the Social Chair of the women's club lacrosse team at Northwestern University. I also work as a lacrosse coach for girls club teams around Evanston.

About Me

I am currently an undergraduate student at Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. I am pursuing a double major in Economics and Art History and would someday like to have a job with combines the world of business and the arts. I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Spanish. I live in Evanston during the school year and am originally from Atlanta, GA.

I served as a peer chicago">tutor for Pace Academy for Algebra, Geometry, and Spanish for two years. On the side, I help out my younger sister with SAT and math/illinois/chicago">ACT Math. Courses I have taken which lead me to be a great math chicago">tutor includes AP BC Calculus (5), AP Statistics (5), Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Intro to Macroeconomics, Intro to Microeconomics. I also speak Chinese at home and have taken AP Spanish (5).

I have a very flexible approach to chicago">tutoring because I believe that every student is different and benefits from different teaching methods. While a personal favorite of mine to use for Spanish vocabulary or Art History works is flashcards, I understand that it's not a method for everyone. For math problems, I like walking through problem sets with students and then encouraging them to try similar questions on their own. Therefore, I can see what they've learned and what they are still confused on. I also reiterate important points and stress an organized homework method.
