Fun Facts
I am a huge foodie with a passion for spicy food, because my international background, I lived and traveled to various places in the United States and China. I love to get to know people from different cultural backgrounds. I used to pay badminton growing up and now I am doing boxing and personal training. In college, I am working in a research lab for psychology and doing debate practice and competition after classes
About Me
I am a second year psychology student with minor in business administration. I am in the Honor's program, and invited to join the freshman's honor's society by the end of freshman year. I am in the dean's list starting the second year. My passion is in cognitive science, which is the study of human mind. My specific interests are in learning and decision making. I would love to help students to develop study skills according to their learning type
Experience
Before studying in the U.S, I spent time after school helping out my friends and classmates with their homework questions. Because of my experience in Diverse Peer Educator, I have experience teaching in classroom settings for students in college level about culture which gives me a understanding of how to teach students. I also gain communication practice and public speaking skills through debate practice.
Approach
I moved to the U.S five years ago for my sophomore year of high school. Throughout the years, I developed my language and studying skills from not being able to fully understand class material to presenting in front of an entire high school for 15 pages senior research. I learned how to study and absorb knowledge and I would love to share my tips with my students. Also, Through studying psychology, I learned the science behind memory and learning which will also be beneficial.
