Fun Facts
Have always been a big fan of music, art, and athletics. Growing up with a career in fencing taught me the discipline and tenacity that applied to all parts of life, and being interested in music and art always encouraged me to think of things creatively and keep things light!
About Me
Sophomore at Johns Hopkins University studying neuroscience in hopes to eventually become a neurosurgeon!
Experience
Throughout high school and college I've always found fulfillment in being both the tutor and the student. I worked heavily with middle and high school aged students in sciences like chemistry and biology and math subjects ranging from algebra to calculus. I've always found you can learn just as much as a tutor as you can as a student, and have always believed tutoring is a two way relationship.
Approach
I am a strong believer that by asking simple questions, any student can get to any answer--as long as they keep asking. I never give answers directly and always make sure the technique is just as understood as the answer. I make sure to integrate lessons in good study habits and values like accountability and discipline in sessions, while keeping personal bias and views completely out of the picture. It's important that the lessons learned from a tutor apply to more than just one subject!
