Fun Facts
If there was one thing I wanted everyone to know about me it would be that I love making things. I love to crochet my own hats, build gadgets and most recently, I have gotten into 3D printing. I bought my 3D printer in May 2016 and I have been printing since December 2016. I enjoy the creativity involved in bringing an idea from my mind to the computer and then eventually into a three dimensional object.
About Me
I am in my last semester at the University of Minnesota earning my degree in chemical engineering. I currently have a 3.6 overall GPA and have been on the Dean's list twice. After graduation, I plan on taking a gap year to work in the environmental industry and then I will be applying to graduate school for environmental engineering. My goal is to teach at either the college or the high school level.
Experience
In high school, I was president of the National Honor Society at my school where I led tutoring initiatives for all grade levels. I have worked diligently throughout college to earn my degree and learn all that I can, to be prepared to tutor in a high capacity. I am now fully capable and ready to spread my knowledge to those who need it.
Approach
As a tutor, I feel it is my responsibility to not only teach the student how to do certain problems but also how to do all problems. Therefore, I do not give answers away, but instead make sure the student is capable of thinking through the problem logically and is able to find the answer on there own. One of my greatest skills is patience and I always make sure my students understand the fundamentals of each subject so they can be successful in the classroom!
