Fun Facts

I love sports, although I'm laughably mediocre in just about all of them. I love coffee, and absolutely adore kids. I love learning new things, and am a software engineer by trade (meaning learning is apart of the job). My family owns a grocery store in a colorful part of flatbush, new york, where I worked through high school and college.

About Me

I am a software engineer at a startup called CrossCompute, and a recent graduate of NYU. I have a strong academic record and love teaching and being taught. I think it is one of the most profound secrets to a happy life, to help and to be helped.

Experience

I often helped friends and classmates in college and high school understand concepts that weren't so clear to them as they might have been to me. As a software engineer part of the job was training new recruits in company tech, and of course an integral part of the job is to be able to learn new technology as they become available.

Approach

World renown physicist Richard Feynman, perhaps known most for his incredible teaching abilities, taught that the secret to learning something was to be able to clearly articulate the idea and concept to yourself, in terms a child can understand. In other words, if you want to test your knowledge of a concept, try to explain the idea to yourself. In studying, especially for physics but the method is equally effective for all subjects, I would apply this method.
