About Me

I am a marketing and accounting double major with an economics minor. I have always loved creating relationships and helping people. I am very focused on school and I believe the best way to really cement your knowledge of something is to teach it.

I tutored accounting students over this summer while working a full 40 hour work week with General Electric Capital. I have also spent my first two years at college helping other students in my class study. I am part of the Neeley Fellows Honors Business Program which made many of my peers look to me for help in preparing for tests in class.

I approach tutoring by trying to help students develop understanding of what is being taught from a conceptual perspective. I realize that I cannot make them memorize things, but I can make sure that they understand what the core concepts of the class are and provide a different view of those concepts that will hopefully make more sense to them. This is why my experience lends to me teaching accounting and economics classes, I understand those concepts so I can help explain them in different ways and give students a resource to answer their questions.
