Fun Facts

I have been playing trumpet since the 6th grade, 13 years, and I absolutely love music. I am currently attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to get my Master's in science/north-carolina/charlotte">Computer Science (online). I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters (1 older brother and sister, 1 younger brother and sister), and I have tutored them several times. The 1st time I tutored I was in the 7th grade and I aided a 3rd grader with math and reading (my barber's son).

About Me

My goals and aspirations are to help students strengthen their weaknesses, make their strengths more powerful, and to make sure they retain all of the information they learn through evaluation and regurgitation (teaching/telling me what they know/what we went over). I want to build a positive relationship with all parties, parents, teachers, and students, to ensure the highest quality of learning and to build an effective bridge of communication.

My past charlotte">tutoring experiences include charlotte">tutoring all levels of education and specific subjects (depending on if they're elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, or college students). I charlotte">tutor in science/north-carolina/charlotte">computer science (have a bachelor's degree), mathematics (have a minor degree), and several others subjects pending that they are at the grade level where I am most effective (I'm excellent at STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) areas).

My charlotte">tutoring approach is first targeting the students weakness then working forward from that point so we can figure out where the actual problem lies. I do this by asking them where their problem lies but also administer assessments (based on where they are in their class/studies). From there, we start with very easy, straightforward questions and work our way up the scale of difficulty to see if they actually understand the concept or if the question difficulty faults their judgement.
