
Fun Facts
I was raised with a diverse background. Growing up, I have moved a total of seven times around the world! I’ve lived in several different countries including Jordan, Qatar, and the U.S. I used to be a gymnast as a child and in high school was in varsity level volleyball. Through those activities and my own personal love of travel I’ve spent a great deal of time in more than Italy, France, Macedonia, Belgium, Ghana, Nepal, Germany, England, Lebanon, Israel, Dubai, Switzerland, Turkey, and Egypt!
About Me
I am a recent graduate from the miami">University of Miami with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Criminology and focus of pre-law. . My career aspirations are to be an international human rights lawyer that works with the UN to help women around the world have better access to education and resources. I’ve been inspired to do this because of my experiences traveling with Habitat For Humanity where I was helping build schools and work with children in severely impoverished areas.
Experience
My freshman year of college I started my tutoring career by helping the children of family friends who ranged from elementary school to high school and I was then quickly referred to other clients. Later in my college career I started to conduct study groups for several of my classes. My teaching experience ranges from elementary to high school. I am able to teach subjects such as English, Literature, Social Sciences, and Humanities to an A level.
Approach
Growing up, I had many different kinds of tutors and found one whom stuck out to me in his methods of teaching. The kind and patient energy, which he brought to every lesson, allowed me to become relaxed and excited about learning. As a tutor, I try to bring that energy and am considered to have a caring approach. I make sure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious environment. My aim is always to raise the achievements of my pupils beyond their own expectations.

Psychology Tutoring
I am a recent graduate from the University of Miami with Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Psychology. The University of Miami is one of the best schools in the nation for undergraduate studies in Psychology. I was fortunate enough to have classes that allowed me to practice statistics and research methods in a lab setting. Other courses that I took in my undergraduate career were Abnormal Behavior, Social Psychology, Psychology of Sexual Behavior, Psychology and Cancer, Child and Adolescent Behavior, Psychology of Drugs and Behavior and Psychology of Gender. I graduated with an overall GPA of a 3.6 in Psychology.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am a recent graduate from the University of Miami with Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Psychology. Within the University of Miami Psychology Program, there are several courses that are required for school counseling and career counseling, which I have taken. I was able to utilize these skills that I learned within these courses with several juniors and seniors that graduated from high school. I recently have been mentoring some students that are in the undergraduate level with many techniques that I have learned in my own personal experience and from the courses that I took.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I am a recent graduate from the University of Miami with Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Psychology. Within the University of Miami Psychology Program, there are several courses that are required for school counseling and career counseling, which I have taken. I was able to utilize these skills that I learned within these courses with several juniors and seniors that graduated from high school. I able to guide and advise these students to organize their time productively and have them learn how to use this organization not only in their school life but in everyday usage.
TOEFL Tutoring
Growing up around the world and applying to universities straight out of the Middle East, many universities did require of me to take the TOEFL even though I am an American Resident. I received a score of 119/120. I have moved a total of seven times around the world. This has been an extreme blessing and has allowed me to experience so many cultures. This has taught me how to communicate and work with people from all over the world, which I find is an asset when teaching the TOEFL.
