Fun Facts
I like to fill my time with a variety of activities. I am constantly looking for a new hobby. I speak three languages fluently and am currently teaching myself Dutch. I am also a member of the Division 1 Track and Field Team at my university. I love to run and do any outdoor activity! I hope to soon organize a multi day hiking trip!
About Me
I am a senior double majoring in Economics and International Studies at Boston College with a concentration in Political Science. I have a 3.65 GPA. I have been on the Dean's List every year and have received the Athletic Director's Academic Achievement Award every year as well. When I graduate I will work as a data analyst/ in predictive modeling for a couple years until I pursue a law degree. My ultimate goal is to work as an attorney specializing in International Law and Human Rights cases.
Experience
In high school I volunteered as a tutor 4 days a week in all subject areas by helping students with homework, preparing them for exams, and general review of the class material. I also tutored middle school students with general subjects as well as standardized test preparation. When I came to college I took notes and tutored for various academi groups on campus including the Connors Family Learning Center, Learning Resources for Student Athletes and the Students with Disabilities Center.
Approach
As a child most subjects came easily to me but I saw many friends around me who did not share this experience. I quickly found enjoyment in helping others and trying to find productive ways to portray my logic and understanding to others. I feel that encouragement and patience are the cornerstones to tutoring. Every student is able to learn anything under the right circumstances and through support and persistence I feel that I can not only teach content, but also instill a desire to learn.
