I coached basketball for 5th/6th grade boys and 1st/2nd grade girls my junior/senior year of high school and it was the most challenging but most rewarding thing I have ever done. About Me
My name is Jessica Masrin and I am currently a sophomore student at Texas Christian University. I am originally from Chicago, IL, but I grew up overseas in Jakarta, Indonesia and attended Jakarta International School. I am currently a kinesiology major and hoping someday to be a physical therapist or a physicians assistant. I am one of few people who enjoy doing math and enjoy helping people be successful in math. I took Chinese for 6 years from 6th grade until my freshman year in college, and I enjoyed it. My dad is originally from China, so I hope to someday be as fluent as he is. I love being the person that helps someone else succeed which is why I would love the opportunity to tutor others.
I have not had any professional experience where I have been paid to tutor, however I have been known to be a reliable source as a tutor to my friends, siblings, and other peers in classes, specifically in math and chinese (which is why I feel comfortable tutoring in these subjects). Like I mentioned earlier, I took Chinese for 6 years and I have taken math classes every year, including IB Standard Math in high school, and pre calc with trig last semester. I enjoy being a role model and a mentor to people and motivate people to do better and become successful. I love tutoring my friends and family, and I hope that I get the opportunity to do something I love while helping others as well as earning a little bit for myself.

I think it all depends on the person you are working with and how they l
