Fun Facts
I'm Los Angeles transplant that moved to sunny Portland OR 4 years ago to attend Lewis and Clark. I have played the cello for over 7 years and I hope to continue my studies. I have been fortunate enough to travel to various countries around the world such as Japan and Russia. I hope to visit Thailand sometime in the near future.
Hands down, my favorite author is Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I hope to read up on other South American authors soon.
About Me
Recent graduate from Lewis and Clark College with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I am currently exploring jobs in the research field. In the next coming years I hope to return to school to obtain a PhD in synthetic biology.
My ultimate goal is to enter the research industry or to seek professorship.
Experience
I have over 6 years tutoring experience stretching from my junior year of high school to now. In college I worked for a peer tutoring center that focused on math and science in a group setting. In addition I worked as a one on one peer tutor for most general chemistry and biology course offered at Lewis and Clark on the professors request. By working for Frog Tutoring I hope to make an impact in young students lives and pass along my passion for science to the next generation.
Approach
As a student I had trouble absorbing all the knowledge needed for class at the set pace. I was lucky enough to have teachers who would explain the topics in more detail. As a tutor I feel that I am responsible for not only teaching the course material, I also try to teach students how to think about the topic as a whole. In addition I am a huge proponent of teaching students successful study skills, as these skills help students succeed beyond STEM topics.

Biochemistry Tutoring
I have a degree in Biochemistry and have received an A and B+ respectively in Biochemistry lab and structural biochemistry. I have tutored for this class once it was offered the next semester at the professors and former students request. I firmly understand this concept in both the theoretical background and its contemporary developments.
Biology Advance Tutoring
I have an extensive biology background due to my biochemistry and molecular biology academic career. I have received a A in introduction to neuroscience, and A into investigation in Cell/Molecular Bio, B in molecular biology, an A- in metabolic biochemistry, and a B+ in cellular biology. I have been a tutor for the investigation in cell/molecular biology course as well as the metabolic biochemistry course.
